Hi there!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website.

I believe that you are capable of more than you think you are. I also believe that you also have within you all the courage you need to overcome the fears and doubts that keep you from being, doing and giving all that you're capable of.  These beliefs form the foundation of my coaching, speaking, writing and my life in general.

Long before I'd ever heard of coaching (beyond the sporting field that is) I tried to be someone my family and friends could count on to challenge, encourage and support them in doing whatever it was that excited them.  Looking back, I guess I began developing my coaching skills way back in Kindergarten when I was spurring others on to ditch their training wheels and try something new, gutsier and more exciting!

In those days I lived with on a dairy farm with my parents and 6 brothers and sisters in a beautiful place called Nungurner along the cost of Victoria, Australia (back then I was Margie Kleinitz).  As the 2nd oldest and 'biggest sister' of 7 kids I've always been pretty down to earth and pragmatic. I'd also describe myself as being outgoing, energetic and adventurous with a positive outlook on life. Of course my husband Andrew might add bossy too but I'd prefer to call it 'leadership'!

At 18 I left home to attend University in Melbourne. After graduating with a Business Degree in Marketing three years later I went backpacking around the world (as so many Aussies do) venturing independently to many places well off the beaten track in Africa (where crossed the Sahara Desert), Asia, the Middle East (where I spent time in the West Bank occupied territories of Israel) and South America (where I trekked the Inca Trail).  I also worked in Papua New Guinea for 3 years. Along the way I developed a great appreciation for the richness of cultures foreign to my own, together with a love of photography (you should see the walls of my home!). I also learnt the profound truth that as human beings we do not see the world as it is, but as we are.

My husband, Andrew, and I were married in 1993 and since then we have lived in ten homes in three countries and had our four wonderful noisy children along the way (an adventure all it's own).  We moved to the USA in 2001 initially to Texas and now to Virginia.  Needless to say, I am no stranger to the challenges of life transition, relocation and motherhood! In fact I really do have to walk my own talk when it comes to finding the courage to pursue the goals that inspire me without losing my sanity or sense of balance along the way. It is a constant work in progress!

Though my first career was in Marketing with BP Oil and KPMG, by my late 20's I began sensing professional fulfillment for me lay elsewhere and returned to university to study Psychology. I then built on this foundation with specific studies in coaching which I continue to build on regularly.

Wherever you are right now just know that you have the guts to make the changes and take the actions you need to make your life that much more meaningful, rewarding and fun! Life is too short not to be enjoyed fully so if now is not the time to make the changes you want then when is? But a more important question still is: “What would you do if you had no fear of failing?”   I hope you are willing to take a big deep courageous breath and move forward boldly in whatever direction your answer beckons you.

Live Boldly, Shine Brightly!
